How to calculate cubic yards of concrete
Concrete is used and sold on a cubic yard basis. 1ft = 12in.
To calculate how much concrete you would need to order to pour a slab or footing (ratwall) use the following formula -
Slab thickness (inches) x Slab width (inches) x Slab length (inches) divided by 46656 (inches in a sq yd).
One Cubic Yard of Concrete will cover:
130 Square Feet .............................. 2 1/2 inches thick
108 Square Feet .............................. 3 inches thick
93 Square Feet ................................ 3 1/2 inches thick
81 Square Feet ................................ 4 inches thick
65 Square Feet ................................ 5 inches thick
54 Square Feet ................................ 6 inches thick |
PLEASE NOTE: Staff is not responsible for concrete calculations.
The concrete has been mixed to industry specifications. Management is not responsible for any alterations made to the mixture once it has left the yard.
